Race Disability Women
Many organisations are supportive of the idea of diversity but lack awareness of how to achieve it. Worse still this can lead to prosecutions and general poor staff or customer relations. SRa are working in confidence with a wide variety of clients to audit current practice including the record of those from whome external services are obtained. In several cases costly legislation has been avoided.
An interesting recent piece of work was an audit of diversity research for Transport for London. SRA extended this to suggest gaps and areas for research development including in relation to sexual diversity, age and disability.
As part of our work on diversity SRA have trialed and developed workshop materials for impact assessment which have now been widely used by government departments and local authorities to motivate staff throughout organisations.
